Nice suggestions Gus, thanks. I'd offer only that while Cavas and Proseccos can be less expensive than alternative sparklers, they're not necessarily cheaper, but better values for the price. There are some quite good roses from both countries that make a great impression and aren't as cliche as CA sparklers or champagne.
