Great advice Gus. I saw many people in restaurants who'd order a wine and ask that it be decanted before they even saw the label. I suspect it was asserting their position as a wine expert but rarely saw it justified; it did, however, usually result in a bigger tip for the server if done skillfully and with a little panache.
The Plungerhead review was spot on and the wine is every bit as good as you suggest.

In my observations, Dave Conant, some people buy wine at a restaurant to pair with their meal. Others buy wine at a restaurant to pair with their ego.
